A Study on the Bio-electrode for Histidine utilizing Pseudomonas aeruginosa immobilized on an Ammonia Gas-sensor


Abstract
A potentiometric sensor for histidine has been made by immobilizing the bacterium Pseudomonas ireruginosa to an ammonia gas-sensing electrode.
This bio-electrode gives good results and selectivity for histidine determination.
The response of the bio-electrode is linear range between 3.0 X 10-4 and 5.0 X 10-2 M histidine with a response slop of 56.lmV decade at pH 7.5 and 30?C in the 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution. This bio-electrode was investigated for the effects of pH, temperature, buffer solution, bacterial amounts, lifetime, interferences, and so on.
Actually this bio-electrode will be useful for determination of histidine and clinical applications:
